VASTU TIPS FOR POOJA ROOM – Best Vastu Training Course in India

Best Vastu Training Course in India

Vastu Shastra suggests a lot of dos and don’ts while building / decorating your Pooja Room. Being the most sacred place of the house, one expects to enhance its positive energy to the optimum and direct it for family’s well-being and growth.

According to Vastu, North-East is considered as the best direction for Pooja Room. North and East corners also work well for the same. West is good too but South isn’t recommended. East is the direction of the rising Sun and Lord Indra, so praying facing east leads to auspicious growth and luck. Praying facing towards west helps to attract and attain wealth. Facing north while praying helps in inviting opportunities and positivity.

If your Pooja Room is in North East, do keep Shiv Parivaar and keep the colors light like hues of blue. If your Mandir is in East, have Vishnu Ji and preferable color is green. In West, living Gods like Buddha, Sai Baba, and so on are recommended with yellow / white as favorable colors. If it’s in South, do keep Hanuman Ji and Laxmi Ji and the recommended color is red.

Some important points for Pooja Room Vastu are:

  • Always keep a solid statue of the God rather than hollow statues.
  • Lord Ganesha must be placed on the left side of the Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Saraswati must be placed on the right side of Goddess Lakshmi.
  • Idols must not face each other or the door and not too close to the wall.
  • Do not keep Pitra images here.
  • Use fresh flowers to decorate your Pooja Room.
  • Light a dhoop or incense stick to promote positive aura and sideline foul smells.
  • Puja Thali of brass is recommended.
  • Do not keep more than one idol / picture of God to avoid duality and confusion.
